You really dont know nothing about guns. At this moment over 100 countrys are using ak-47 or variants(Finland,Romania,China etc.). Example Russia is still using ak-47 although newer model ak-74 has been out over 20-years. New pictures indicates that USMC are using ak variants because armalites(colt m4a1,m16a2 etc..) are fragile to dust and need lots of cleaning. Sas(british special forces) is too using ak´s and armalites because l85a2(british bullup rifle) is worlds worst assault rifle. Theres over 50 million ak-47 and variant over world. Most of these ak´s are in Russias gun barracks and bunkers and in middle-east.
So before you start speaking bullshit just check facts. Ok?
And most of those fancy guns are prototypes. Example "ОЦ-14 "Гроза" is prototype and produced only 1000 pieces. Problem was that "ОЦ-14 "Гроза" costed more than 5 ak´s and you know that Russias army(really Groza OC-14 was designed for Russias internal affairs) is large and poor.

I've also had a chance to shoot from AK47... for 6 years in military... It is damn nice piece of weapon... Simple and effective...

PS: As for the word "discussing" it's a grammar form called a gerund. I.e. this is a verb ending in -ing when used as a noun, as in 'singing' in We admired the choir's singing. Ask your teacher for more info.
