It is prohibited to modify in any way any code (with the only exception of the modification necessary in order to remove the encryption) of the game of Ultima Online. This includes several hacks in order to see in the night and in the darkness in the Dungeons: these are not allowed.

What about Razor's "Light Level Changes" ? Will you be banned if you have it on?

When you name a character, a house or a pet/animal you must follow the following rules:

* The name cannot be a name of an NPC, monster, object or personages of the background of UO.

Why can't a dragon be named as "Wyrm" or "Bear" or something like that? Will you get banned from that too, if you name your pet with an npc name?

And a house cant be named "an inn" or "Bank"? This is going far too stupid..

It is prohibited to remove any monster belonging to a champion spawn or a champion themselves - by any means.

Now what the hell that even means?

It is prohibited to command a boat while dead and in presence of other alive persons, even if the boat is the property of the person who is dead. If the alive person/people refuse to carry the dead person to the mainland, it is then necessary to use the function "Blocked/Stuck", accessible from the Help menu.

This was supposed to be an OSI clone right? At OSI there is NO rule that you cant command the boat while youre dead. This just makes some newbies life miserable when someone kills them on a boat and takes the boat.

What if I am AFK-Macroing and someone crashed to my boat and pages "He blocked my entrance to place X", will I get jailed?

My paduwan learner - 1st lesson patience, be patient and you will get what you cry for. As for your arguments they are not really fact based. If you read the rules carefully then you will understand them and not just scratch the surface.

When naming a pet you can call it Wyrm - because this is acceptable - so far I have never seen anything called Wyrm. I have seen White Wyrms and Ancient Wyrms but no Wyrms. What the rule means is that you cannot name a char or pet "Lord British" for example. You are taking the rules out of context - it clearly states that you cannot use names from the background of UO. If you know about UO then you will know what this means.

You can name your house whatever you like - you cannot use names which are in game - for example you cannot name your house "West Britain Bank" for example.

If you read the rule about additional 3rd party programs then you will know that Razor is allowed - this means all of Razors functions. Whats your problem with this - it states it clearly.

As for the champ spawn bit - it clearly states you cannot remove any monster from a champ spawn this includes the champion themselves. This means you cannot draw monsters out of the champ spawn. For example you cannot go to Tokuno Champ spawn and drag 10 Hiryus out into Tokuno as you would be removing them from the champ spawn. They spawn there and this is where they belong.

As for the boat the rule clearly states - you can't command a boat while dead. Basically this rule is in place to make gameplay more realistic. Whats the problem - if you die you use the stuck button, you have your escape route at hand. And if you were stupid enough to boat macro in a busy place then you deserve to be messed around with while you are afk - I boat macro and I have never been disturbed - I just do this in remote places as its etiquette to all other players.

As to your other boat problem - you only block someone if they do not have a clear route out of there - so I would say if you block someone while afk macroing - tough s**t you were after all afk!

As for the rest of the translations you would see that I started this reply with a statement to be patient - I translated the rules yesterday and the rest will come. Obviously it takes time to get them 100% right and simply for all levels of English users.

I hope you understand the rules a bit better now - you have to understand something fully before you throw comments into the mix.

Sorry if I sounded harsh to some of your questions but you seem to me to be trying to pick holes and find problems with smallities - it is after all a game for us all to enjoy......

I really didnt think tokuno's spawn at all. I was thinking of Barracoon at despise and so on. I really dont hang in trammel/tokuno like you seem to do. I knew what it meant, but I was thinking about barra. "How the hell can you lure barra out from the dungeon?" hmm.

It is prohibited to use a any type of external program that can cause intentional or previewed phenomena from the developers of UODreams ("exploit") or anything that gives an unjust advantage in respect to other players (includes the so-called "speedhack" and "gear"). The programs that facilitate macros (like "EasyUO", "Razor") are considered legal.

Razor IS legal but the light level changes arent? Doh, according to that rule about 15% of shard's playerbase will be banned.

Also maybe we can play that the tillerman has 100 points in spirit speak, so he can speak and understands ghosts.

No one has ever killed me while I have been on boat, in fact I've killed every AFK person I've seen on their boats.

Are you a player who doesnt AFK macro any skills? If you are, I must really say congrats to you, try to raise taming or magery by hands with these gains. So 8x8 is the best way to gain magery for example, and if you block someone while AFK and they page I probably would end in jail if Koper read the page.

And why couldnt I rename my house to "North Bank of Minoc" because my house is in minoc? I bet the real bankers in Minoc would kill themselves for sure. And my house is a storing place for valuable items, arties bankchecks sop's and so on. So its a unique marble bank. Sorry if my text made you snap a blood vein in your head.

I believe the rules were posted for information, not for discussion/debate...

Coincidentally enough the staff/helpers here are not all qualified lawyers, not to mention that.this.is.a.game. therefore just accept it and play like the rest of us - nobody else seems to have massive problems with this stuff - if you posted like this on OSI the staff would not even bother with 3 words in response so consider yourself privileged!

Like I said in my large post above :

It is a generalised comment designed to cover all corners with a rule to lureing monsters from champ spawns. Maybe you can't lure Baracoon from the dungeon - but you can lure in other places. Instead of writing a million words to cover a subject the rule is meant to be quick and concise - this is why it is worded like it is - Its an eventuality which has been covered by all angles. Like I mentioned before you are picking to try an make the staff look stupid (It doesn't work - its foolish).

Like I mentioned before - Razor is legal, if razor is legal then use it. I use it, I don't use the filters as I prefer to play in a realistic setting. If Razor has filters and it is legal - then use it. If the rule states any of the other programs its because they give illegal means to players. For example - the renaming and changing of properties on vendors. Theres bugs that can be exploited by other programs out there and this is why they have been banned.

Like I said in my large post I DO AFK MACRO - I just do it in a place where I am not hindering anyone elses gameplay/enjoyment. I do it for etiquette and to not get messed with by someone having fun.

About the naming of building I think the point is completely alien to you - YOU CANNOT NAME YOUR BUILDING THE SAME NAME AS A STRUCTURE THAT IS INGAME - For example "West Britain Bank". Now as far as I can see you can call your structure "South Minoc Knocking Shop" as this isn't a name of a generic building in any town of the game - especially minoc.

I hope you understand and I don't have to go over the same points time and time again for you to understand them. Do us all a favor and read the rules again and my 2 large posts will make sense........

Also one thing to add - these rules have always been in place, this is the first time they have been available in the English language - as most of you probably would have gathered if you use an online translator to translate the Italian set. They are not really new and everyone has played them for a long time now.....Theres no excuses for anyone who wishes to pick them to pieces, because these are the people who didn't use an online translator when they first joined the shard. Ignorance is not bliss!

I'd like to add to what Goodfella said that most if not all the new rules have been taken directly from OSI.
You cannot lure champions away from their respective spawns as stated here, you can't block areas using boats as stated here, the naming policy can be found here and so on.
Obviously we are not going to enforce everything to the letter, and you are most likely going to be able to play exactly as before without incurring in any penalty, but as I'm sure you realize, we need those rules to be present and available to everyone. If, as you say, someone incidentally bumps on your boat, you are most certainly not going to be held responsible for it. If, on the other hand, you are actively and purposefully blocking someone, we wouldn't be able to take action, and if we did, you could say there was no rule against it, and you would be right, and that would not be a Good Thing now, would it?

How are you going to catch Injection users? Alot of ppl are using Injection with lootscripts in gauntlet and it sucks really.. Injection with a good looter script is 10 times faster than any looter at www.easyuo.com.

I think its quite impossible to catch injection users, although it isnt allowed.

Thats a very good point Alezi - the only way I could think that we can catch injection users is if we test Injection to see the speed of the auto-looting and then write a piece of code that if anything is removed from the corpse of any enemy at that kind of speed - it notifies the GM's and they can monitor a little more closely the situation.

Also to note - Injection users have certain characteristics of movement - which are easy to detect (Not going into too much detail here) and its quite easy to spot if you know how Injection works and what it was designed to do. Sorry if I am being vague, but I don't want to give any tips to Injection users!

lol?.. it got a built in speedhack efcourse its unfair it also pvp's for you pvm's for you and loots insanly fast for you forcing everyone to get an injection script if they want to loot anything in guantlet.

My 10$ (personally) is that anything which changes the mechanics of the game should be banned. This is only my point of view - but its annoying when you are 3 seconds away from cutting someones head off of their lifeless body, and all of a sudden they move so fast that you can't keep up with them and they escape.

Injection should be banned - along with speed hack and the other programs that do the same.
