Allora, ci stavo pensando da giorni, ma vedendo il pg della settimana ho voluto concretizzare la mia proposta.

E se diventassimo OSI style anche nelle regole?
Mi spiego... perchè non copiamo da loro il regolamento sui nomi? Quello sull'harassment in realtà diciamo che faceva già parte di gamesnet conosciuto come "prima direttiva", ma sarebbe bello dare una ridimensionata anche ai nomi pg, anche se sarebbe una faticaccia. Magari si potrebbe assoldare qualcuno dello staff proprio allo scopo di correggere i nomi pg (senza alcun potere, solo fargli compilare una lista che poi un gm rinominerà)...

Mi pare una buona idea, quando arrivai su UOD ebbi una brutta impressione proprio guardando i nomi.

Anche un regolamento OSI-style, in senso restrittivo, sarebbe un ottima idea.

Lavoro per lo staff ? sicuro, aumentate lo staff se necessario.

in pieno ci sono dei nomi ke nn dovrebbero essere mai + scritti e ci siamo capiti

mi pare che su OSI oltre a come diceva mikelezz che sono vietati nomi di oggetti/mob tipo "a vampire bat" come il nostro pg della settimana ma è consentito ad esempio "Vampire Bat".

mi pare abbiano regolamentato anche il fatto delle maiuscole. Niente + bIrDzKiLLaH, nomi tutto in maiuscolo e altre cosine così... mi pare abbian fatto regolamenti abbastanza chiari in fatto di nomi. smentitemi se sbaglio... cmq io l'ho buttata la proposta, si mette un povero cristo che sia addetto solo a quello

beh tranquillo, fosse per me tutti i nomi che dimostrano almeno un minimo di sforzo di fantasia andrebbero bene.
Certo se ti chiami a Horde Minion o peggio "connomididittatoridiqualsiasispecie" è un altro discorso.

Lord Sir * è orribile.

in più si potrebbe aggiungere vicino al regolamento una paginetta per lo "scam" , spiegare cos'è, come fare per non essere gabbati e spiegare che i GM non possono fare niente e rosikare nel forum serve ancora meno.

What is the policy on character names?


You are encouraged to choose a name that represents your character in the way you want to be seen (for instance, a character named "Big Bird" may not be taken as seriously by others as a character with a more contextually appropriate name such as "Lothar"). However, we also ask that discretion be used when choosing character names, guild names and titles, and house names. Examples of inappropriate names include:
Any name that violates the Rules of Conduct or Terms of Service. This includes names that are racially motivated, sexually graphic, anatomical and excretory references, hateful, defamatory, ethnically derogatory, or any other names that would be offensive in nature. Simply, if your name defames any demographic or is in poor taste you are likely to be actioned.
Names of any Origin Systems, Inc. employee or any customer service representative of Origin Systems, Inc. Names of any Electronic Arts employee or any customer service representative.
Any name that is defamatory or attempts to defame the reputation of another account holder, an employee of Origin Systems, Inc., Electronic Arts, or Origin Systems itself.
Names of modern era serial killers or anyone who has committed crimes against humanity in the past 100 years, or any name that is closely connected with these acts.
Names of items, or proper names of NPCs in Ultima Online.
Any proper names from Ultima fiction (e.g. Lord British, Lord Mondain, Exodus).
Any name involving a combination of words that produces an offensive result. Masked profanity or slang which denote offensive terms.
Also inappropriate are misspellings, phonetic spellings, word combinations, or alternative spellings of any names that violate the above rules.
Names Policy Enforcement
If a name is found to be in violation of any of the above policies, a customer support representative will intervene. When customer support is called to evaluate an improper name, one of the following actions will be taken:
Nothing. The name is not deemed offensive and the character is permitted to keep the name.
Changed. The character will receive a warning and a name change. This will occur with borderline and relatively benign names that still violate our name policy to a minor degree.
Deleted. If the name is deemed offensive your account will be actioned and your character will be removed from the game.

un'altra cosa che mi chiedevo da tempo e vorrei risposta da staff... perchè su GN è vietato ogni riferimento religioso (e lo accetto) ed è stato rinominato un tale Gesù di Nazareth in quanto infrangeva questo regolamento, ma non è vietato alcun riferimento satanista?

penso che ad un ateo vedere gesù di nazareth o satana qua gli fa indifferente, ma non pensate che possa esistere qualche cristiano (io) a cui da fastidio vedere girare "superdemoniosatanico" "bestia indemoniosa" "satana er maligno"
?

io direi che ci vorrebbe un barlume di chiarezza su questo campo... se questi qua non vengono rinominati io mi sentirò in diritto di chiamare un mio pg "Gesù di Nazareth"
